MacLaren Children’s Center staff, Dependency court judges

ACADC
filed a Section 504 Complaint with the Department of Social
Services Office of Civil Rights, against the emergency shelter
facility, MacLaren Children’s Center, for failing to
provide deaf children in residence full accessibility.

- ACADC provided training
to the child abuse hotline in use of the TTU number for reporting
child abuse.

ACADC
held regular meetings to establish a strong network of service
providers in the field of child abuse prevention and treatment.

ACADC
became a member of the Los Angeles Community Child Abuse Coordination
Project, which is comprised of all 13 child abuse councils
in Los Angeles County. The LACCACP provided the council with
support, participation in child abuse prevention activities
and grant opportunities for special projects.
